Grab Your Cards - Mr Porter Sale Round II

A number of you guys really took to the last Grab Your Cards installment where I picked my top sales picks from premier menswear e-retailer, Mr Porter. I've just had a tip that they've gone sale mad and I'm here, once again, to deliver to you my top picks. As with before I'll categorise them so you can easily find exactly what you're looking for, but make sure you're quick because at these prices a lot of the stuff might be gone or going really quickly. Once again I've categorised my picks into outerwearshirtingtrousersaccessories and footwear

*Side note: I would love to make it all fancy but my computer screen has packed in (almost) and I can't use Photoshop. Maybe when I get it working I'll spruce this post up.

Grab your cards - Junya Watanabe Man FW10 M51 Fishtail Parka

Whilst on Tumblr I discovered this little gem. I'm sure if you use the site and follow anyone who talks about menswear you might have seen this at least once, it is coveted, revered and high sought after. It's a parka from Japanese brand, Junya Watanabe and the fact that it's a FW piece from two years ago means that it is rare. Rare not only because of when it was made but the size as well, this particular one is a small. You're sure to be hard pressed to find something like this, at this price and size. The jacket is in this great olive colour - very appropriate for Fall and on the back it has a panel made from a flannel-esque material. It is lined with camo print and has brown leather elbow patches as well as a contrasting blue fabric split on the sleeves. This jacket is something you're likely to come across maybe once or twice. Check it out here and see the images below. Also a side note the website it comes from, Lost & Founds is great for finding other great pieces like this so check that out too.

Grab your cards - Ann Demeulemeester

I have a serious hard spot for Belgian designer, Ann Demeulemeester. As part of the Antwerp 6 she is known for her radical and forward thinking designs. I'm not planning to go into to much detail about her but I'll let the item I'm gonna show you do the talking.

As part of the ongoing Grab Your Cards feature I present to you a pair of shockingly reduced Ann Demeulemeester cap toe oxfords at myhabit.com, Amazon's luxury sale site. The site offers free membership so it shouldn't be difficult to take advantage of this deal. Full leather construction sits on top of stacked heels, made in Italy with a not-too-round toe. These are a perfect compliment to any man's wardrobe and especially at this price, should not be passed up.

Grab your cards - Opening Ceremony sale

Big fan of Opening Ceremony over here. Founded in Hong Kong in 2002 by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, they represent wholeheartedly, at least for me, what a label should be like nowadays - collaborative, different and fun. I think bygone are the days that everyone needs to conform to push forward and get ahead because where will you get if you're offering products that are basically the same as someone else. OC embraces an alternative culture and as such are able to present something very quirky and unlike anything you've seen or likely to see. They host events, they interact with their fans which I think is very important when you remember that social media is a mainstay in our society and as such being on a level with the people who keep you up there is paramount in maintaining and continuing success.

They have celebrity fans that range from Chloe Sevigne to Alexa Chung and they collaborate with every brand imaginable including Gitman Bros., Rodarte, Pendleton and Reyn Spooner. I love the whole concept of the brand and hope that I'm able to visit the store in NYC in the near future.

Speaking of the store they currently have a titanic sale on and after a thorough look through I've picked my favourite pieces that could help cripple my wallet. Take a look.

Gerlan Jeans Appalachian Anorak, $ 370.00 148.00. The print on this coat is insane, it kind of drums up the image of the Burberry Prorsum storm jacket at Park & Bond

Monitaly Riders Coat, $ 805.00 242.00

Warriors of Radness mod cargo pant, $ 185.00 56.00. I love these, and that's saying something because I'm not a fan of the recent trend of elasticated cuffs but here I can make an exception.

Opening Ceremony wool cargo pant, $ 345.00 104.00. I love these because they put a new twist on the cargo ant by using a pattern rather than one colour.

Pendleton Meets Opening Ceremony cargo pant$ 370.00 111.00.

Assembly New York longrise pants, $ 240.00 72.00. Made in the USA, classic khaki pants with button and zip fly with unfinished seams.

Great floral 90/10 wool and cashmere workshirt from Opening Ceremony, $ 195.00 59.00

All Gitman Brothers x Opening Ceremony
1.  Brodie hunter BD long sleeve shirt, $ 165.00 99.00
2. Tan cheetah basic shorts, $ 150.00 45.00
3.  Japan/America basic long sleeve shirt, $ 165.00 99.00

Mark McNairy New Amsterdam San Salvador Burro Boot in a. tan, b. navy, c. grey, d. chocolate
$ 125.00 88.00

I hope you like what I've chosen, I do (just bought the San Salvador boots in tan). Check my other GYC features and grab yourself a bargain.

Grab your cards - YMC Sale

Until recently, embarrassingly, I didn't know there was a YMC store in London. It wasn't until I went looking for bargains in the sale late last year that my friend and I happened across it. YMC short for You Must Create took initial inspiration from work wear and has since evolved into a highly significant export of modern British menswear. They produce timeless, expertly tailored and exciting clothing. According to their website they "follow the Corbusian precept that form follows function. The results, free from fads and fripperies, are as close to timeless as clothing gets."

Since discovering their London store I have been keeping a very close eye on their sale and I've picked a few choice items that perhaps you guys would like to look at.

[all images via ymc]

Camouflage Butt Pocket Trouser, £90.00, sizes 28 - 36

Grab your cards - Mr Porter Sale

I'm sat here in my university library getting some imagery put together for some posts coming and I happened upon the Mr Porter sale section. I'm having to catch my breath, my debit card is not far from my hand and I'm seriously tempted to abuse it. There are some great deals to be had on some choice labels you might want to get your hands on - and right now is the perfect time.

I had my eye on the GANT Rugger jacket, I had my card to hand, but alas knowing my luck they didn't have my size. Also on offer include garms from: b Store, Brooks Brothers, Aspesi, Incotex, Woolrich Woolen Mills and more. What I've chosen has been split into outerwear, shirting, trousers, accessories and footwear and are based on what I consider good value i.e. the amount of reduction in accordance to the brand and usual price.

Check out these mad deals!
