Albam - Beach Bound and Down

I've written about Albam before so you guys should know by now that I'm fully behind the brand and am always impressed by their offerings. If you ever need good quality, durable staples that eschew trends Albam should be your destination.

It's always nice to get stuff in your inbox and I recieved this little set of imagery from good friend, Stephen, who had a hand in styling this set. It goes by Beach Bound and Down and demonstrates ways to layer without being over-complicated. I really like the red-striped hoody and shorts combo as well as the third look. Layering has always been something I've tried to improve upon because honestly I'm not that good at it and the fact I get super hot even wearing one layer but this definitely inspires me to give it a better go.

Club Monaco Fall 2012 Lookbook

I came across the lookbook reading this post over at Isaac Likes and I really appreciated the looks that they put together. There's tight styling, great colour combinations and a relative ease about each look which means that the average joe could put it together I guess. I'm really excited to be stopping off in New York in August before moving on to California so I might get a chance to see the store in person. Peep the looks below

Ribbens Denny Jacket

The Denny jacket inspired by the works of Dennis Wilson from The Beach Boys. The jacket is a bright yellow Millerian wax cotton blouson jacket. It's finely finished with excellent trims and the production run of this jacket was very limited.

Ribbens was established in 2011 by Richard Deeney and Emily Naismith with a collective view to produce quality menswear which is designed and produced in England. The labels first collection will focus on contemporary outerwear, that is stylish, but often with a function, striving to use the very best in materials to enhance each Ribbens garment. The Ribbens jackets has become a product from our daily influences that support and inspire the Ribbens ethos, from great music, artists, bands, actors, films, plays, books, wars, art, movements, all the things that surround and build Ribbens.

100% lightweight cotton with dry wax finish

I'm back

Hi, guys. First, can I express my gratitude for all your support with this project and coming back and reading and your emails, thank you. Second, my extended hiatus from writing has been due to exams, just letting you know that they're all done and I've done well in all my modules this semester, I'm still waiting on one set of results but I remain confident that I killed it.

Also a life update. You may or may not know that I will be moving to the US in August for a year as part of my university degree, I will be visiting New York, maybe Michigan and I'll be setting in Long Beach, California for my studies. Fortunately for me I have a nice chunk of change coming my way that'll help me afford a camera. I'm really excited to develop a new skill and hopefully have you all along for the ride.

Thanks again and lets get back to this.
