Milan Fashion Week FW 2012 Schedule

Following the unveiling of the Paris Fashion Week schedule, Milan has followed suit. Opening the week is Corneliani on January 14th and closing out with roccobarocco. Long time favourite Dolce&Gabbana will be showing their latest offering after announcing the closure of their D&G after this coming season. British favourites Pringle of Scotland and Burberry Prorsum will be amongst the shows.

I think I am most excited to see Jil Sander's latest showing after finishing the label's partnership with fast-retailer Uniqlo. Also hot off of a collaboration is Versace, after cosying up with Swedish high street brand H&M close Milan Fashion Week's third day.

Paris Fashion Week FW 2012 Schedule

Paris Fashion Week is right around the corner, commencing on the 18th January. As such we're drawing ever closer to the unveiling of the Fall/Winter 2012 collections. It's probably my favourite of the 4 major weeks because many of my favourites are showing.

What I'm excited about is who will helm Givenchy's collection ever since John Galliano fell from grace early last year, it is also interesting to see that both that show and his eponymous label are showing almost back to back. I'm interested to see what Mugler and Nicola Formachetti have to offer after he, at least for me, disappointed since becoming Creative Director in September 2010.

The Friday and Saturday are looking to be crackers with showings from: Dior Homme on Saturday, under the direction of Kris Van Assche (who also shows on Friday); Antwerp 6 member Anne Demeulemeester and Junya Watanabe.

You can expect retrospective coverage of our personal highlights once the shows have finished.

A Bathing Ape x British Millerain

British Millerain, in it's 100 year history, has established itself as a leading manufacturer of waterproofed cotton and breathable fabrics. You can be assured that anything made using materials from British Millerain will last you a lifetime. Now they have teamed up with Japanese superbrand A Bathing Ape on a duo of great looking jackets. The first of which is The Oiled Cloth Classic Sport Jacket which will come in yellow, navy, beige, and red and features contrasting collar, wrist and waistbands. The The Oiled Cloth Mountain Parka will come two toned in - red and beige, black and navy and navy and yellow. Both feature large pockets on the front with the Sport Jacket sporting snap fastening and the Parka looking like it'll have velcro.

Both jackets look great and should be available around Spring this year.

Bape bipolarity

Bathing Ape and I have never had the most harmonious relationship. So much so I can go as far to say I hate it. Well hated it. No, I hate it. See I just can't make my mind up about the little ape head.
